Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

About the Role

We're looking for a driven Sales Executive to join our freight forwarding team in Dubai. You'll build and manage relationships with local sea and air freight clients, handling everything from containerized shipments to breakbulk and project cargoes. This is a hands-on role where you'll directly impact revenue growth while gaining deep expertise in logistics operations across the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new clients in the sea freight and air freight markets, with a focus on bulk cargo operators and established shippers
• Manage and nurture existing client relationships to drive repeat business and upsell additional services (breakbulk, project cargoes, liner services)
• Negotiate freight rates and service terms with clients while ensuring profitability and competitive positioning
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth cargo handling and delivery, maintaining high service standards that drive client retention
• Track sales metrics and work toward monthly/quarterly revenue and volume targets with accountability for pipeline management
• Conduct site visits and attend client meetings across the UAE, building trust through direct communication and problem-solving

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with specialized knowledge in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding operations
• Proven experience managing sea freight and air freight clients, with demonstrated exposure to bulk cargo shipments
• Current UAE driving license and willingness to travel across the emirate for client meetings
• Strong negotiation, closing, and prospecting skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent English communication skills and customer service mindset; ability to build rapport with diverse client types
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and freight forwarding software systems (e.g., freight management platforms)
• Nice to have: Experience with tramp services, project cargo logistics, or liner service providers; familiarity with customs and documentation processes
