Lighting Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Lighting Commissioning Engineer to join our automation and lighting team in Dubai. You'll be responsible for commissioning cutting-edge lighting control systems, GRMS, and home automation solutions at client sites. This is a hands-on role where you'll directly impact how buildings operate, working from initial site assessments through full system deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-commissioning site visits to assess installation readiness and identify any technical or logistical challenges
• Execute complete commissioning and programming of lighting control systems, GRMS, and home automation platforms to client specifications
• Perform installation and configuration of lighting control hardware and software, ensuring systems meet design requirements and industry standards
• Carry out scheduled and emergency maintenance visits to customer sites, troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance
• Complete detailed technical documentation, commissioning reports, and maintenance records for all projects and service calls
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction throughout the commissioning process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the lighting industry, specifically with lighting control systems or automation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) for reviewing and creating technical drawings
• Valid UAE Driving License (must have)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently at client sites
• Nice to have: Experience with GRMS platforms or home automation systems
• Nice to have: Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards for commercial lighting installations
