Job Description
Oversee tax & audit processes, ensuring accuracy & compliance. Manage team, implement tax strategies, & conduct financial audits for the company
- Accountable for the implementation of appropriate tax governance including compliance processes and controls across the region to ensure low risk status.
- Have complete understanding of applicable tax & compliance laws and framework in the GCC region, have knowledge of OECD guidelines.
- Be the point of contact for ad hoc taxation queries from the business, keep abreast of tax legislative changes & judgements, and assess the impacts these would have on the business.
- Work closely with cross functional team to evaluate the impact of taxes on company operations.
- Designing and implementing transfer pricing policy and ensuring local TP filing and reporting is done
- Conduct periodic tax audits. Ensure timely review and regulatory filing, tax accounting/reconciliation, resolution of accrual accounts and processing of refunds, where applicable.
- Handle all tax related communications with tax authorities including regular meetings with tax authorities and lead internal teams to handle tax litigation in a tax-efficient manner.
- Prepare group tax reporting, proactively identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Facilitate strategic tax planning, implement governance structures across all taxes at Regional level, achieve business objectives and tax saving opportunities.
- Conduct Tax Structuring of new overseas investments and impact on business case returns.
- Conduct thorough reviews of Holding Company structures, Capitalization options, Withholding and Capital Gains Tax implications, Transfer Pricing, and other related matters.
- Coordinate with Finance and legal teams on specific projects, including financing, cash repatriation, legal-entity rationalization and simplification.
- Drive education and training to BU Finance, Supply Chain, SSC and other teams on tax & compliance across the business.
